Stories Of Hope - Heather Morris

Image
O h what a delightful read, having read 'The Tattooist Of Auschwitz' and 'Cilka's Journey' I couldn't wait to read her non- fiction collection of stories. Some of the stories in here are not featured in her previous books. This is more a book on the importance of listening and how Lale had trusted Heather enough with his stories to tell her. An incredibly moving and sensitive read, I highly recommend to everyone that had read her previous books to read. A powerful read that will stay with you for a long while after.

Atomic Love - jennie Fields

Oh what an absolutely thrilling page Turner. I was hooked from the very beginning that towards the end I had to start pacing myself as I didnt want this book to end.  After a failed romantic relationship falls apart with Thomas Wheeler, Rosalind Porter is approached by the F.B.I. Her phone has been tapped and they know Wheeler has been trying to contact her....Now selling Jewelery Rosalinds past as a scientist is fast approaching her. Battling with what is right for her country and a past love, will she do what is right? An utterly compelling read, I didnt want it to be finished, an extremely well written novel, that keeps its pace all the way through. A superb female lead character takes this book by a storm and you wont want to miss out. LOVE, ESPIONAGE, SCIENCE, THRILLING, HISTORIC....what's not love love?!

Other Girls Like Me - Stephanie Davies

I really didn't want to put this book down! Stephanie's memoir will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, one minute it made me feel angry when you hear about her relationship with Martin, then I felt really quiet inspired by her when she starts standing up for what she believes in, the way stephanie writes her memoir, it's very powerful and proud....I don't even know her!!! This is a must read for anyone, this coming over age memoir will make you think and make you want to start voicing your opinions and make sure you're heard for what you believe in.  FUNNY.POWERFUL.SAD.COMPELLING.INSPIRING

The Feud - Kimberley Chambers

WOW! The Feud is book one in the 'Mitchell's and O'hara' series....what a read! I didnt want to out it down! I was completely hooked from start to finish! This is without a doubt a must read especially of you are fans of Martina Cole, Mandasue Heller and Jaqui Rose. Meet Eddie Mitchell, the youngest son  of notorious gangsta Harry Mitchell. He soon takes over Harry's empire and things go from bad to worse...Eddie has a temper, he will do anything to protect those that he loves...but at what price will that come too?? The other side of Eddie is lovely, his will do anything for his wife Jessica who he loves completely and does everything to keep his other life away from her... Eddie and Jessica also have twins Frankie and Joey, they absolutely adore them but when they start growing up they bring their own trouble to the door of Eddie...some of these troubles involve rival familh the O'haras. I cant wait to pick up book too, of you've not read Kimverley Chamber...

Knots And Crosses - Ian Rankin

Oh what a delight to read! Just everything in this book Mark's the very start of what you like will be a fantastic series. You learn about Rebus, his family, his previous life before joining the police and with all that going on theres a murderer lurking among the streets of Edinburgh abducting an killing girls....girls around the same ages as Rebuss daughter Sammy ... will Rebus be able to find the killer when the pressure starts getting to him? I'm very much looking forward to reading the rest of the series, I have read a couple of the later ones but I'm going to enjoy this series from start to finish!  If you've not read Ian Rankin before, then Knots and Crosses is the perfect starting point and you get to know the characters quiet well!

Anti-Social - Nick Pettigrew

What an insightful, witty, dark and eye opening read. Once I had started this book I knew I was going to find it hard putting it down. This memoir of an Anti-social behavioural officer really opens your eyes to what they have to deal with, at times it can be incredibly heart breaking at times it will make you feel angry, I know I felt a great deal of compassion whilst reading this book. The humour and wit throughout is just superb and always in the right places! I really thought it added to the book. I really hope there will be more to come from Nick Pettigrew I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Tainted Love - Kimberley Chambers

I am loving The Butler series, I think I would go as far to say that this is my favourite ever series! I have been hooked from the very first page of the first book! Anyway ‘Tainted Love’ is book 4 in The Butler series and it’s just as explosive, gritty, edge of your seat and addictive as all the rest. Catch up with the notorious family and their dramas as they have 2 weddings and one funeral, but as usual these events do not happen without a big kickoff....also Littles Vinnys past is starting to creep up on him....Has Michaels lies got him into a spot of bother? Meet new family members and watch the story unfold more with Lee and Daniel! Queenie and Vivian’s east end humour just adds the icing on top of this series! Definitely looking forward to starting book 5 ‘Backstabber’ although if you haven’t read her previous trilogy ‘The Mitchell’s and The O’Harras’ then you must read these before ‘Backstabber’ I’m very much looking forward to seeing what will be next from Kimberley chamb...
