NYPD red 6 - James Patterson and Marshall Karp

Image
Detective Kylie Mcdonald and Detective Zach Jordan of NYPD are back! This time they're faced with the kidnapping of Erin Easton. Erin is a huge TV personality and she has just said 'I do' to one of the wealthiest men in the country. With the TV cameras filming the most lavish wedding and a quick dress change for the diva what could possibly go wrong?  Kylie is already at the wedding and calls her partner Zach for help when Erin has found to be missing. With everyone the A-List guest list a suspect, could there be more to it than meets the eye? Why exactly is the mother-in-law to be not at the wedding? Just how many skeletons are in Erins closet? Does Erin know husband to be Jamies wealth is all his mothers? Who is Bobby? I thoroughly enjoyed this read, I have read every book in the series and you are most definitely guaranteed an action filled, fast paced read. I lived the idea of two stories intertwining throughout this read. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for

Tell Me Something - Adele Parks

Image
This is my first book club read with the Bookscape bookclub and I thoroughly enjoyed it!  I absolutely love Adele Parks books and have now read a few of them, I don't know why I never picked this one up sooner. Elizabeth has always known what she wanted from life and that was to first of all marry and Italian and secondly have a baby, she's always wanted a big family. So one day when Roberto walks into her life she can't believe it and their romance starts within 6 months they are happily married but trying to get pregnant is proving difficult. Working their lives around ovulation times and pregnancy tests and periods is starting to bring them down. Roberto decides that's moving to Italy could be the solution, his family are in the wine business and there's nothing better than fresh Italian air to get pregnant is there? This is what Elizabeth thinks, she has in her mind the stereotypical view of what Italy is and should be! A fresh start is exactly what Elizabeth ne

Can he unravel some of Aprils secrets that she never told Theo? The hunt is on, can Theo get to the bottom of it. Although this is YA series I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Will You Love Me? - Cathy Glass

Image
At the moment I'm currently working my way through all of Cathy's fostering memoirs and after reading about Lucy in a couple I thought it was only right I read her story and come to see how Cathy ended up being Lucy's adoptive mother. I liked how this book started off with Lucy's background and about her mother Bonnie, it told you about the real struggles that Bonnie had and her relationships with not only Lucys father but the background on her own family. Lucy thought she was unlovable after being moved around so much, she thought she was the reason that no one wanted her, until she met Cathy, Cathy showed her what a family was, what life could be really like and has given her her happy ever after.  I didn't want to put this one down. I loved reading about the whole process from having Lucy placed in Cathy's care, through various reviews and meetings also what the school does to help, I was just fascinated by it all. I'm looking forward to reading the next

What Will Burn - James Oswald

Image
Can you believe this is book 11 in the inspector Mclean series by James Oswald? This has to be one of my favourite series ever and I'm so excited that I was asked to take part in the blog tour for his latest novel in the series 'What Will Burn'. When the burnt out remains of an elderly woman are discovered in a woodlands in Edinburgh, its clear to Mclean that this isn't an accidental fire...but who would want to beat an elderly woman in her 90s and set her on fire? Could there be a more to this than meets the eye?  With Tony back on the job and having been demoted he is keen to get to the bottom of this, he's actually quiet happy about his demotion and can now give his all to his cases instead of having to find excuses. I love the supernatural twists that run through James's books, I think they're extremely clever and each book just gets better and better! The characters are on point and you become invested in them! Although this is book 11 in the series, I

Ruthless Women - Melanie Blake

WOW! This is definitely the sauciest book you will read in 2021...Melanie Blake is an author to definitely have on your radar this year. Falcon Bay was one of the most popular TV shows in the world, but as the ratings start to decline there is no option but to bring in a new owner...Madeline Kane...she is determined to get the ratings back to what they should be and nothing or no one will get in her way. Behind the scenes you have Farrah, Catherine and Amanda three strong, ambitious women who have been trying to keep the show going....Farah will stop at nothing to be director of the episode that will save Falcon Bay, Catherine, leading lady of 40 years that is loved by the nation and knows the show inside out and Amanda married to the boss Jake Munro, who constantly belittles her and makes her feel useless until she stands up for herself and remembers just hiw strong she is. With the pressure on to get the ratings up Madeline takes charge and everyone is going to find out just how rut

The Lucky Escape - Laura Jane Williams

Laura Jane Williams is most definitely kicking off summer with her latest novel The Lucky Escape! One of this summers hottest books you won't want to miss out on! Annie is left jilted at the altar...that's right ditched on her wedding day...why did Alexander not turn up? 10 years together and just like that all over! How could she have gotten things so wrong? That's what happens doesn't it? You fall in love and have the wedding and the happy ever after? But this wasn't supposed to happen for Annie. So after a bit of a wallow, extended time off work and the offer of still going on the honeymoon of a lifetime from her ex inlaws, she makes a vow to herself to cease every opportunity she can. When Patrick, an old friend comes back into her life could he be the one to remind Annie just who she used to be? Could Patrick be the one to help heal her heart with a spontaneous non-honeymoon trip together? Will Annie also help mend Patricks heart? A hilarious, heart warming  ro
