The Victim - Kimberley Chambers

 Oh no we've read the end of the 'Mitchell's and O'hara' series, I'm very sad to see the end of this trilogy. But however I do still have 'Backstabber' to read which brings The Michells and The Butlers together, but I wonder if it will be in a good way or a bad way?!

Frankie Mitchell is still banged up in Holloway, she's still keeping her secret close to her chest as to why she attempted to kill Jed, but that all changes when Georgie and Harry attempt to run away to see their mummy, but Jed is clever, far too clever to ever let the kids see Frankie. But with some help from the inside and Eddie's promise that he will never stop looking for Frankie's Children, what price will it come at? Will Frankie get the happy ever after she's always wanted? Will Jed manage to get away forever? Will this be the end of the Feud between Jimmy and Eddie? Lives will be lost, but who's?

I absolutely loved this series, there is most definitely room for a fourth, especially after that explosive ending! I'm a huge fan of Kimberley Chambers, every book she has written just has everything you need for a bloody good read. I cannot wait now to pick up 'Backstabber'and finish off the Butlers series.

The addictive, gripping and unputdownable Book 2 in the Clifford-Mckenzie Series, although this is book 2 it reads perfectly well as a standalone as throughout the book it briefly keeps you up to date on what happened during book 1. After reading First Game, I will definitely be on the look out for book 1, Crossfire.  Fair Game kept me gripped until the very end and the twists were just incredible I never saw them coming, I actually thought I had worked out the murderer fairly early on but I was so wrong, I just love it when an author has that ability to completely trick you into thinking one thing and then later reveals a huge twist you don't see at all! This was a 5* read for me, very had to review without giving away the whole story, but definitely an author to start reading a d a series to start, I really hope there will be more crime fiction from R.D Nixon. The Family Man - Kimberley Chambers

So today is my stop on the blog tour for Kimberley Chambers new novel 'The Family Man'. The Family Man is the start of a brand new series for Kimberley. What an explosive first instalment it is, as with every book I've read from Kimberly I found it very hard to put down. I love the way her writing just pulls you straight in as if you are actually there.  In this new series we meet The Bonds, hard Bond is Kenny, recently freed from doing a stretch inside after killing a policeman by accident, Kenny adores his family his wife Shal, his kids Donny and Sherry, his grandkids Beau and Brett, his mother and aunt Nell and will stop at nothing to protect them, especially when one is caused harm!! This is definitely a family you don't want to get on the wrong side of! This book of course also contains its fair share of "notrights"!! I definitely can't wait for the second in the series!! Kalmann - Joachim Schmidt

Today is my stop on the blog tour for 'Kalmann' by Joachim Scmidt, an Icelandic mystery full of humour.  I really enjoyed this book, I found it very atmospheric, humours and engaging. Although different for your usual mystery read I loved the originality around it.  Self appointed sherrif, Kalmann of  Raufarhöfn (a small town in the north of Iceland) comes across a puddle of blood whilst out Fox hunting. However instead of reporting the blood, he goes home to watch Dr Phil. It isn't until he is taken in for questioning we unravel the complex life of Kalmann Odinsson and how he became so engrossed in survival having learnt it from his grandfather. But by not reporting the puddle of blood stained ice could Kalmann have gotten himself tangled up in something far worse? Kalmann will not stop until he finds out what has happened.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish, I do hope we will see more of Kalmann in the future.  Thank you Anne at Random Things...
