Kalmann - Joachim Schmidt

Today is my stop on the blog tour for 'Kalmann' by Joachim Scmidt, an Icelandic mystery full of humour. 

I really enjoyed this book, I found it very atmospheric, humours and engaging. Although different for your usual mystery read I loved the originality around it. 

Self appointed sherrif, Kalmann of  Raufarhöfn (a small town in the north of Iceland) comes across a puddle of blood whilst out Fox hunting. However instead of reporting the blood, he goes home to watch Dr Phil. It isn't until he is taken in for questioning we unravel the complex life of Kalmann Odinsson and how he became so engrossed in survival having learnt it from his grandfather. But by not reporting the puddle of blood stained ice could Kalmann have gotten himself tangled up in something far worse? Kalmann will not stop until he finds out what has happened.

 I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish, I do hope we will see more of Kalmann in the future.

What an explosive first instalment it is, as with every book I've read from Kimberly I found it very hard to put down. I love the way her writing just pulls you straight in as if you are actually there.  In this new series we meet The Bonds, hard Bond is Kenny, recently freed from doing a stretch inside after killing a policeman by accident, Kenny adores his family his wife Shal, his kids Donny and Sherry, his grandkids Beau and Brett, his mother and aunt Nell and will stop at nothing to protect them, especially when one is caused harm!! This is definitely a family you don't want to get on the wrong side of! This book of course also contains its fair share of "notrights"!! I definitely can't wait for the second in the series!! Hook, Line, And Sinker - Tessa Bailey

Today is my stop on the blog tour for 'Hook, Line And Sinker' by Tessa Bailey. This is the second book in the Bellinger Sisters series. The perfect read this summer, picking up straight from book 1 'It Happened One Summer' guaranteeing you a hot summer! I absolutely loved this book I was completely "Hooked!" And managed to read in just one sitting, although this book reads well as a standalone I would recommend you read them in order as book 1 tells alot about what has previously happened and trust me its a cracking book so you wouldn't want to miss it! This book gave me all the feels, and I dare you not to just want to give Fox the biggest hug! The way every character is written just makes this books one of the hottest MUST reads around....I really don't want to go into the story too much as I won't stop and would hate to spoil it for everyone, but please pick this book (series) up and fall in love with it just as much as I did! Innocence and Deception - Toni Bolton

Today is my stop on the blog for 'Innocence and Deception' by the magnificent Toni Bolton. I couldn't put this book down, although this book is part of a series I thought it read really well ad a standalone too. A thrilling, fast paced read that will keep you turning the pages fast and faster to find the answers! Charlotte has been wrong accused of murder...or has she?! And FBI agent Mike Collins will stop at nothing to get to the truth. I thought the title of the book fitted the story perfectly! I loved the concept of it being a part crime/thriller read and part romance....I definitely want to pick the rest of the series up now and read from start to finish! Definitely a 5* read....its wonderfully refreshing to read something original! Thank you very much to Anne at Random Things Tours for organising another superb blog tour.
