Breath taking - Rachel Clarke

Oh, first things first you will definitely need a tissue at hand for this read.

Rachel is a palliative care doctor who spent most of her time working on the wards during the first wave of the covid pandemic. From working on the very front line she gives us a raw, emotional, brutally honest and very personal account of not only her time but her colleagues, patients, patients relatives and her families time during one of the most awful times to have happened during many of our lives.

The courage shown through this book from all of the healthcare workers is just second to none, the bravery and kindness that they have shown through this whole pandemic is just unbelievable, the sacrifices they have made for the sake of others is just incredibly selfless.

This is a book not to be missed.

If you haven't yet already read it Rachel's first book was called 'Dear Life' a deeply moving and thought provoking read.
