One Chance - Terrol Lewis

So today is my stop on the blog tour for 'One Chance' by Terrol Lewis.

What a phenomenal read, i was hooked from page to page as I read about a young Male who grew up around gangs which eventually led him into gang life, a man who also has aspirations of being a footballer but became consumed in earning more money and creating his name on the street, a man who had a heart and cared dearly for his family and friends, who then turned his life completely around and is now to go to guy to help others who finds themselves in similar situations creating a safe place for them.

I couldn't put this book down, I read it in two sittings (it would have been one sitting had i not seen I was still reading it at 2.30am!!!) This is a truly honest, raw and completely emotional account of Terrol Lewis and his life becoming a gangster in one of the most famous places in southwest London, Brixton. But his story is not only about becoming one of the streets most recognised names it's also about him surviving and leaving the gangs behind him, the courage he had to do such a thing must have been absolutely terrifying but with the help of Pastor Mimi and his friends, he managed to just do that.

Terrols story will stay with me forever, there is so much to learn from him. His story is just remarkable and I'm so thankful for him sharing his story along with the work he now does for younger people on so sure he will make huge differences to every single persons life that turns up on his doorstep.
